The McKenzie River Trail is one of the classic "bucket" list rides for mountain bikers.  In fact, the U.S. Forest Service has designated it as a National Recreation Trail #3507, due to its popularity with hikers and bikers.  It is named after the McKenzie River which parallels the trail which you will cross multiple times on handmade log bridges.  Located just east of Eugene, Oregon, it is 26 miles of a mostly downhill trail ride that has epic scenery through 300 year old-growth forests.  Some of the scenic views include waterfalls, clear blue water, old lava fields, mosses, ferns and old-growth trees that are a sight to behold.  Mountain bikers will probably want to take photos of the famous and scenic Tamolitch Falls, Sahalie Falls, and Clear Lake.  It has been rated as the USA's #1 mountain bike trail.
